Timings: 8:30am to 4:00pm EST., with two 10-minute breaks, and a 40-minute lunch

Ashbury College is offering two sections for this academic credit course.
The In-Person (On-Campus) section is sold out.
The first section will be in-person (on-campus) learning, following all safety protocols, with the caveat that we may have to alter our plans due to the pandemic following guidelines from Ottawa Public Health (OPH).
The second section will be synchronous (virtual) learning, using MS Teams as the platform for audio and video conferencing. The virtual learning option will require access and the use of educational applications and platforms that require school licensing. Ashbury College will be lending students in this course an Ashbury iPad with the necessary licensed apps and platforms. The use of the Ashbury iPad, and the materials that Ashbury is providing will be included in the course fees.
Prerequisite: Functions, Grade 11, University Preparation
This course extends students’ experience with functions. Students will investigate the properties of polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; broaden their understanding of rates of change; and develop facility in applying these concepts and skills. Students will also refine their use of the mathematical processes necessary for success in senior mathematics. This course is intended both for students who plan to study mathematics in university and for those wishing to consolidate their understanding of mathematics before proceeding to any one of a variety of university programs.
Summer Boarding is available for Ashbury students who are currently registered in boarding for the 2020-2021 academic year.
