NEW in 2017!
Summer 2017 Credit Courses: Our summer school offers a menu of 20+ courses, at all grade levels, with new offerings in ESL, Business, Biology, General Science, Languages, and World Issues. Ever popular offerings of Career Studies, Civics, Canadian Geography, Law, Chemistry, Physics and Math are returning. Our goal is to help motivated Senior School students effectively balance their Secondary School experience. Check out all the possibilities.
Summer 2017 presents an opportunity for students to reach ahead, explore new areas of study, build new skills and have fun. It gives students a chance to build flexibility into their regular course of study and reduce pressure during the school year. Small class sizes combined with skilled, enthusiastic teaching faculty help ensure a positive learning experience.
Summer school courses will run from June 26 to July 19, 2017 with classes from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm daily. Lunch is included in the tuition. As a full credit course is being delivered in only 17 days of instruction a top priority must be given to full attendance and homework. Students absent for more than 2 days (for any reason) may be asked to withdraw. No arrangements should be made that interfere with class time.
Compulsory Final Exams for all credit courses will be written on July 19, 2017.
Summer 2017 Academic Preparation Workshops: These non-credit offerings are focussed on skill building. Our IB Prep course will be offered in August 2017. Please see the page offering for more details. Stay tuned for other Academic Preparation courses in reading, writing, mathematics and more offered June-July 2017.
Summer 2017 Camps Coming Soon: There will be a variety of summer camps offered June-July 2017. From our returning camps in Art, Tech & Tools, Basketball, Pro+ Sports and Claymation to our upcoming new camps in Robotics, Girls Rugby and more. Please visit our Camps link for more information in the coming months.
Summer 2017 Boarding: Boarding is available for students enrolled in Summer School Credit Courses and the IB Prep Workshop. While a minimum number of students will be required for the boarding program to run, we fully expect to reach that number. All boarders will live in the Ashbury Residence under the supervision of a Resident Teacher. Boarding students will be provided with 3 meals a day and secure high speed internet access. Boarders will be welcomed from 4:00 pm the Sunday afternoon before their course begins and are asked to depart by 6:00 pm on the day their class ends.
There will not be any classes or camps running on July 3, 2017.
Ashbury College reserves the right to cancel or change course offerings. If a course is full, parents will be contacted and be given the choice to place their student on a waiting list.
