Academic Writing Workshop: June 19-23, 2017

This workshop will be geared to students entering grades 10-12, in both the IB and the regular stream. The main focus will be on academic writing with an emphasis on breaking down (chunking) assignments, writing thesis statements, organizing outlines and proper research techniques. This will include using electronic supports such as One Note, Noodle Tools and time management tools. Time will also be devoted to the development of time management and editing skills. Research strategies will include visiting libraries and learning correct citation (footnotes and bibliography) methods and analysing the usefulness of primary and secondary sources.
Note: This is a full-day workshop and lunch is included.
