Time: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

This course prepares students for the IB Diploma program. A challenging course that explores the key academic IB Diploma subjects and provides opportunities to learn about Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Action and Service, and Extended Essay writing. Students will receive specific training in research and study skills and review the expectations of IB assessments. The social programming enables students to explore Canada’s beautiful natural landscape and engage in cultural activities that relate to curriculum areas.
Note: Boarders may arrive on August 27 after 6 pm and should plan to leave following classes on September 1. Boarding students who will be joining Ashbury for the 2017/18 Academic Year are eligible for the Labour Day weekend program. This trip takes students to rural Quebec for an authentic Canadian weekend of canoeing, hiking and nature crafts and then brings students back for opening day on September 4th.
